Beat that Winter Blues!

These are a few of my favorite things (when winter is slowly trying to destroy me)

I find myself waiting for Spring to give me a little pick-me-up as I am feeling a slight wave of the winter blues hit me recently. Is anyone else feeling that way as well? If you're going far down winter weather the rabbit hole, I suggest reading the Success Secret, Seasonal Affective Disorder. But something I have found that works for me to get out of these little funks is creating a really great self care routine with my fav products and also going inward. Check out what I mean...

Most mornings I do something called the Morning Manifestation (available under the Mind on this website) which helps me set up a positive mind frame for the day. I have a very particular routine which I want to share with you and within that, pops up all my go-to items.

First I wake up, wash my face and brush my teeth:

Fav face wash right now- Botanics Hydration Burst with clary sage. In it is 3 in 1 cleanser for dehydrated and sensitive skin. I love it because it helps keep my skin from drying out during the winter months and it is made with plant power. I'm bringing the outside to me, y'all! I have never used a cleanser with just cotton pads (no water) and I was a little hesitant in the beginning to do so, but honestly I love it! One of my favorite things is seeing how much cleaner my face gets one swipe of a cotton pad at a time. It's satisfying and I am digging how glow-y my skin is lately.

Most days I stay in my pajamas, but if I need to start my day immediately after, I throw on the coziest yoga pants ever:

Spiritual Gangster high vibe leggings. I have never worn yoga pants so comfortable in my life. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but in my eyes, they are worth the investment.

Then I place essential oils on my wrists and behind my ear, turn on my salt lamp and get moving with a yoga sequence. Some days I listen to music that hits me on such a deep level:

Snatam Kaur- She is an American singer that has a voice of an angel. She performs new age devotional music and kirtans. Her one song Grace is one of my favorites.

After I do my yoga and mediate, I often journal about what I am trying to manifest. However, some days I like to just let go and let my emotions take over. Those days are the best when you have a journal you like to write in:

Practice You is a journal by Elena Brower. My best friend bought me it for Christmas and I am obsessed. It has such an artsy feel with watercolor and pen markings all over the large pages. The author offers just a little bit of guidance on each page to get your mind going and then leaves ample amount of space to let you free write, doodle or just think. It is amazing.

So there you have it, friends. Maybe sharing my favorite things or my self care routine will help you a bit this winter!

Let's kick this winter blues to the curb and invite in some light!
